The Art of Code: Transforming Text into Visual Poetry
Introduction
Generative design is a creative process in which the outcome is not actively generated by a designer but by a programmed algorithm. This concept served as the starting point for this project. The basic idea was that a consistently applied principle would yield a new, random visual each time.
As a result, a sign system was created, assigning each letter of the alphabet and some special characters a symbol or movement on a two-dimensional plane, enabling the transformation of any text into a visual image.

The sign system
Symbols or movements on a two-dimensional plane were assigned to each letter of the alphabet and certain special characters. For instance, the letter "B" is transformed into a line extending to the upper-left corner.
The code which converts text to an image was written in Processing. When executed, the code extracts the first letter of each word and every punctuation mark, transforming them into the corresponding symbols.
